Pumpkin and Pineapple Sweet
Ingredients
3 kilograms of Green pumpkin
1 Medium pineapple
1 ½ kilogram of Sugar
500 grams of Brown sugar
500 grams of Grated parchment paper
1 Lemon peel
4 Cinnamon sticks
4 Cloves
4 Malagueta balls
1 pinch of Salt
Preparation
Step 1 : The pumpkin is washed, peeled, and seeds removed.
Step 2 : The pineapple is washed, peeled, and cut into cubes.
Step 3 : The pumpkin is cut into thick strips approximately 3 cm wide.
Step 4 : In a large pot, place the pumpkin, pineapple cubes, brown sugar, white sugar, grated parchment paper, cloves, cinnamon sticks, malagueta, and lemon peel.
Step 5 : Cook over medium heat with a little water until the pumpkin releases water.
Step 6 : Add a pinch of salt and cook for 30 minutes.
Step 7 : Check that there is little liquid left, cooking more if necessary.
Step 8 : Allow to cool and serve cold.
